The gate church of the trinity 12th-18th century.

Refectory hurch and refectory, 1893-1895.

 

  The Great Lavra Bell Tower, 1731-1745. Built by architect Johann G. Shadel. It stands at 96.52 metres and has 4 floors. The foundations are 7 metres deep. The walls are up to 8 metres thick. It has 239 steps that run in a spiral stair case. Every quarter of an hour, a melody chimes from the tower and every hour a bell rings. The first floor houses archives, the second floor houses a monastery library, the third floor houses the bells and the 4 floor houses the striking clock.
 

  Dormition Cathedral 11-18 century. Reconstructed from 1998 to 2000 after being blown up during the second world war on November 3rd 1941. Original construction on the cathedral started in 1073. Throughout the centuries many changes have occurred, due to repeated destruction of war, fire and even an earth quake! Originally a single domed church, now it has seven golden domes.
